Helping Moms of Teens Stay Connected While Letting Go
Raising an independent teen doesn’t mean you have to lose your connection.
The teen years can be confusing, emotional, and sometimes downright hard.
One minute you feel close to your child. The next, you’re wondering why everything feels so different and whether you’re doing any of this right. The things that used to connect you are now causing tension.
I’m here to help.
Through my Listen, Love, Launch (L3) Framework, I help moms understand their teens, navigate the challenges of adolescence, and confidently guide them toward independence while building a relationship that lasts.
You can let go without losing each other.
Hi, I’m Cindy.
I created The Journal Project: My Senior Year Through Mom’s Eyes
I also built a coaching business alongside the book, helping hundreds of moms to understand that letting go doesn’t have to equal losing their relationship with their teen. Most moms would complete the senior year and lament these words; “Why didn’t I meet you sooner?”. That question changed the direction of my work.
I realized that while senior year is an important season of letting go, the foundations for that transition is built throughout the teen years. That’s why I created the Listen, Love, Launch (L3) Framework, to help moms understand what’s happening beneath their teen’s behavior, stay connected through the changes, and confidently prepare their teen for adulthood. The goal isn’t to hold on tighter.
The goal is to stay connected while you let go.
I’m a mom of three adult kids, and I’ve lived the teen years from the inside out.
I’ve experienced the ups and downs of teen life; the pride, the worry, the laughter, the eye rolls, the big emotions, the growing independence, and all the moments when I wondered “Am I doing this right?”
I especially felt like I was in the wilderness of motherhood when they were seniors in high school. During each of their senior years, I kept a journal, writing down memories, hopes, lessons, worries, and all the things I wanted my kids to know as they prepared to leave home. Not only had I created a beautiful keepsake for them, but I was processing the letting go while doing it. This is when I knew I had a special project for moms of high school seniors.
Parenting a teen requires a different approach than parenting a little one. Your teen is becoming more independent, developing their own identity, navigating bigger emotions, and preparing for adulthood, and you are learning how to parent through all of it.
The L3 Framework gives you a simple,heart-centered way to navigate this season.
Prepare them for independence without stepping out of the relationship.
Listen. Love. Launch.
It’s not about perfect parenting. It’s about learning how to parent this child, in this season, in a way that helps both of you grow.
Understand before you react.

How I Can Help
Personalized support for the teen years.
Sometimes you don’t need another parenting book. You need someone who will listen to what’s happening with your teen, help you see the situation differently, and give you practical tools for what to do next.
Through one-on-one coaching, we’ll use the L3 Framework to help you navigate the challenges you’re facing and strengthen your relationship with your teen.
Coaching for Moms of Teens
Gather. Learn. Connect.
The teen years are better when you don’t have to navigate them alone.
My seminars and gatherings give moms an opportunity to step away from the daily chaos, learn practical tools from the L3 Framework, connect with other moms who understand, and leave feeling encouraged and equipped.
The Mom Project
A keepsake created from a mother’s heart.
The Journal Project began with something I did for my own kids.
During each of their senior years, I kept a journal, writing down memories, lessons, hopes, worries, and all the things I wanted my kids to know as they prepared to leave home. When I gave them their journals, their responses reminded me how powerful those words had become.
The Journal Project was created so other moms could do the same. I’ts a place to slow down, reflect on the year, capture the moments you’ll want to remember, and put into words the things that can be difficult to say out loud.
At the end of senior year, it becomes more than a journal.
It becomes a piece of our story together.
The Journal Project
Real conversations for moms raising teens.
The teen years come with a lot of questions.
Why is my teen acting this way? How do I respond to big emotions? When should I step back? How do I stay connected when my teen seems to be pulling away? How do I prepare them for adulthood without doing everything for them?
The Listen, Love, Launch Podcast brings practical tools, real-life stories, and conversations to help you navigate the teen years with more understanding and confidence.
Put on your headphones, take a walk, and let’s figure this out together.
Listen. Love. Launch Podcast
“It was so good to see your perspective on all the things I was going through, and see the process from start to finish written down. I am so grateful you were my mom and not my friend, because I realized how important your guidance was to me in tough moments.”
The Journal Project Testimonials
“It was fun to see how far I’ve come. I laughed at some of the phases that you mentioned that I went through in high school. I was surprised at how much I’ve changed.”
“I loved reading it so much that I would only allow myself to read one journal entry a day so it would last longer. Thank you for showing me how capable I am.”
